March is Portland Dining Month at Zeus Café!

About Zeus Café

Our upscale yet comfortable Zeus Café welcomes you in, where the familiar touches of McMenamins’ signature art combine with natural light, phenomenal stained glass and an open kitchen with a view of chefs, for a sophisticated dining experience.

Breakfast and brunch feature dishes ranging from chilaquiles to chicken & waffles, and fresh bakery items and espresso. Meet up for lunch and enjoy the wood-fired pizza fresh from the custom oven, or a specialty salad or grass-fed burger on a pretzel bun. Dinner is a feast from artisanal small plates for sharing, with options such as curried cauliflower, short ribs and roasted chicken. House-made desserts and the extensive spirit, wine, and craft cocktail list are pairings to any of these dining experiences. The Bloody Mary with house-pickled vegetables is highly sought-after, as is the Zeus Fizz—with house shrub syrup.

Heated seating is available outside, where pets are welcome to accompany diners.

Cocktails & Wines

Beverage menu

Select a libation from a carefully curated menu of pre-Prohibition cocktails made the classic, "old-school" way and using housemade vermouth, unusual syrups like lavender and orgeat, extra large round ice cubes and an array of exotic salts. Try original-recipe drinks including the Café Smash, Burnt Bulleit, and a truly excellent Vieux Carre.

A wine list selected by the Edgefield Winery staff includes bottles from $20 and up, including Edgefield vintages and many others. A special "Majestic" wine list (named for one of the building's past incarnations) includes a small selection of premium wines, such as the 2004 Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron (Pauillac, Bordeaux, FR) or the 2004 Diebolt-Vallois ‘Fleur de Passion' Brut Champagne (Cramant, FR).

Also, you can enjoy a pint of McMenamins' finest ales, straight from the Crystal Brewery! Beer available to go at all McMenamins locations.

Ask your server or host for recommendations on cocktails, wines or ales to pair with your meal.
